Bluetooth Printing Setup IP100 (Windows 7)

In order to print out via Bluetooth communication with Windows, the next system requirements must be satisfied. Some type of computer in which an Bluetooth component is installed or some type of computer to which an optional Bluetooth adapter (available from various manufacturers) is attached. Note: Refer to your personal computer or device documentation for steps to verify the Bluetooth component is installed properly.

In order for connecting the Bluetooth device and printing via Bluetooth communication, the following steps are required. Be sure the Bluetooth device is properly attached to the printing device. See Attaching the Bluetooth Unit. The printer driver Install. See Installing the Printer Driver. Check the device name of the computer printer using the Canon Setup Utility.

See Setting the Printer. Register the printer as a Bluetooth device using Bluetooth Devices. Authenticate the printer as a Bluetooth device on Add a Bluetooth Device in Printers and Other Hardware under Control Panel. See Registering the Printer. You can attach the Bluetooth device to the Bluetooth Unit Connector (inside the printing device) (A) or even to the Direct Print Port (B). If printing is often performed through Bluetooth communication, we advise that you connect the Bluetooth device to the Bluetooth Unit Connector (inside the printer). If printing is performed through Bluetooth communication temporarily, we recommend that you attach the Bluetooth device to the Direct Print Port of the printer.

Attach the Bluetooth unit to the within of the printing device relative to the following process. Note: For how to attach the Bluetooth device to the Direct Print Port, see Attaching the Bluetooth Unit to the Direct Print Port of the Printer. 1. Switch off the printer. Press the energy button and wait around before Power light prevents blinking.

Caution: Do not attach the Bluetooth unit while the printing device is on. A failure can end result. 2. Remove the Side Panel from the medial side of the AC adapter connector (A). Insert a little screwdriver or something similar into the hole on the side of the printer as illustrated bellow. Usually do not bend the medial side Panel too far; otherwise, the medial side Panel may be broken. Slide out the Side Panel as illustrated below.

Detach the medial side Panel carefully not to break the medial side Panel protrusion. 3. Attach the Bluetooth unit. Align the head of the Bluetooth unit to the Bluetooth Unit Connector with the “Canon” logo design (A) at the front end and then insert the Bluetooth device until the series (B) is seen as illustrated below.

Note: Before attaching the Bluetooth unit, detach its cover. Store the cap in a safe location. 4. Attach the Side Panel to the printer. Fit the five protrusions on the relative back of the Side Panel, and then slide the Side Panel as illustrated below. Make sure that the whole Side Panel is properly attached to the printer. 5. 5 Turn on the computer printer.

Attach the Bluetooth unit to the Direct Print Port of the computer printer relative to the following treatment. 1. Switch off the printer. Press the energy button and wait before Power lamp stops flashing. Caution: Usually do not connect the Bluetooth device while the printing device is on. A failure can result.

2. Attach the Bluetooth unit. Note: Before attaching the Bluetooth unit, detach its cap. Store the cap in a safe location. 3. Turn on the printer. If the printer can be used by you with USB connection, the computer printer driver has been installed. The printer driver for the iP100 is built in to the Windows 7 operating-system.
